Tarnishing history: Yazid’s marriage proposal to Hz Ayishah SA!

The Darkest Period of Islam!

Yazid’s condemnable step and marriage proposal to Sayyidah Ayishah PBUH -

Peace be upon you friends, today we will talk about the worst and most controversial tyrannical ruler in the history of Islam, whose caliphate and rule did not last more than three years, but this short period of three years was the most tragic, awful and darkest period in the history of Islam.

Yes dear ones, we are talking about the third Umayyad Caliph, Yazid Ibn Muawiyah, who tried unsuccessfully to be dominant over the broad light of the lamp of the Prophet's family with the darkness of his lust and showed his impotence by breaking the mountains of cruelty on the pure women and innocent children of the Ahl al-Bayt.

On Yazid's order, the purest women in the world, the women of Ahl al-Bayt were taken on foot from the plain of Karbala to the country of Syria and deliberately forced to pass through the busiest markets of Damascus to torment them.

Killing Mawla Husayn or misbehaving with the family of Ahl al-Bayt is not the only sin recorded in Yazid's book of deeds, but in the second year of his reign in the year 63 Hijri, this accursed wretch violated the sanctity of the Prophet's shrine.

In fact even after the tragedy of Karbala, the people of Yathrib did not agree to take the oath of allegiance to Yazid and obey him. So Yazid could not tolerate this and he marched on Medina. This Yazidi army consisting of 12000 soldiers carried out killings and looting in the city of the holy prophet SAW for three days.

In the aforementioned massacre, hundreds of prominent people of Quraish and Ansar, including Abd al-Rahman bin Zaheer bin Abd Awf and Abdallah bin Hanzala, were killed. The history of cruelty and brutality was being made in Madinah al-Munawrah for three days non-stop continuously, which had not happened even during the reign of any infidel ruler who came later.

Thousands of Muslim women of Medina were raped, as a result more than a thousand Muslim women became pregnant. This worst attack in history on the city of the Prophet SAW is called the Battle of Al-Harra, which was a great and shameful tragedy of the Yazidi era.

The annals of history are full of this disgrace, there is no historian who has not described this tragic event. Those fortunate blessed streets of Madinah, where the Holy Prophet used to lay his sacred feet, today there was so much blood that there was no place to step.

Yezidi forces brutally killed hundreds of Companions of the holy Prophet SAW, even the Mujahideen of Badr. This cursed wretch did not settle for such brutality and in the third year of his reign, in the year 64 AH, he attacked Makkah and repeated the history of the Al-Harra incident.

The incident is as follows, like the people of Medina, the Meccans also refused to pledge allegiance to Yazid under the leadership of Abdullah Ibn Al-Zubair. In response to the refusal of the Meccans, Yazid the wretched stationed the Syrian army on the hills surrounding the Kaaba.

Stones and fireballs were hurled at the Kaaba through the catapults and other war instruments, as if an atmosphere of doomsday was created in Makkah that day. The holy cover of the Kaaba and the wood inside and outside were burnt to ashes.

However, the killings and looting like in Madinah were not seen here because the cursed Syrian forces were now busy in the midst of this attack that the string of Yazid's life was pulled and the respite for his sins ended.

Dear ones, these were some of the political sins of Yazid, the consequences of which the Muslim Ummah is suffering till today, but the evil that I am going to mention now is not often described like other sins of Yazid, rather most people do not know even about it.

Above all, the misfortune of Yazid was that he, intoxicated with his power and authority, sent a message of marriage to Umm al-Momineen Aisha, that too when she was about 60 years old. This act was not only blasphemous but also disrespectful to the position of the wives of the Holy Prophet, who are referred to as the "wives of the pure" and "mothers of the believers" in the Holy Quran.

The women whom the Holy Prophet had married by the command of Allah, after his departure from this world, it was forbidden for any person to marry any of them. Therefore, it is obligatory for all Muslims to have a relationship of devotion and love with all the mothers of the believers PBBUTA.

But Yazid did not refrain from this blasphemous act due to his atheistic disposition. The sheikhs and religious scholars of that time showed these verses of the Qur'an to Yazid and cursed him, until Mu'awiya had to intervene to quell the riots against him.
